I'm starting a thread to keep track of series and other CK that need work, for myself or others.

OT: That was a really misleading thread title on a book-related site! :D

What about the group that's series specific?

>4 gilroy: Because he's not limiting it to series, I think. Though it might be useful to have a thread over there that points both here and to the "new features" topics.

To open it out a bit, please can we have the new "Warnings and disambiguations" field on the tag combination CK pages localizable by language?

Several of the warnings already filled in are to do with the same word having different meanings in different languages, and therefore not appropriate for combination. For example, 'ropa': "Czech - petroleum; Icelandic - to belch; Spanish - clothes". The 'ropa' content was created on the .com (English) site, http://www.librarything.com/tag/detail/ropa#combinations, but is not carried across to the other language sites, so is not available for localization, including the languages referred to:
http://cz.librarything.com/tag/detail/ropa#commonknowledge
http://is.librarything.com/tag/detail/ropa#commonknowledge
http://www.librarything.es/tag/detail/ropa#commonknowledge

PS. What is the practical difference between the #combinations and #commonknowledge pages?

Hmmm. The localization means only one language will see it. I'd think this is something you want everyone in on. So add words in there like "For example, 'ropa': "Czech - petroleum; Icelandic - to belch; Spanish - clothes."

What do you mean?

>7 Cynfelyn: >8 timspalding: I think they are asking to DElocalize it, because right now it is localized and not being seen anywhere other than .com

>8 timspalding: "I'd think this is something you want everyone in on".

Yes, absolutely. Cross-language author and work CK is reported as "Information from the (language) Common Knowledge. Edit to localize it to your language." I'm suggesting that the "Warnings and disambiguations" field could usefully be treated the same. At the moment content only appears on the language site it is created on, with members on other language sites having no idea that content exists.

"What do you mean?"

Please ignore that. I see that I got in a muddle.

What do I do if there's a conflict? Just add them together, I think?
