Hey, it's October (already)! What's everyone reading?

I have finished Les Beaux Étés, 3: Mam'zelle Estérel, which again show us the Vacations of the beloved family. It is lighthearted and makes you a smile in the end.

Well it is not comics, but I am reading Slugfest: Inside the Epic, 50-year Battle between Marvel and DC. It good, but I think that Marvel Comics: The Untold Story is better.

Catching up on the Bendis creator-owned titles (Jinxworld) at DC: Happy to have Scarlet resumed, intrigued by Pearl, and still need to track down Cover.

I really liked the second Strong Female Protagonist, which explores issues of power and community service - and romance.

I read the third Monstress, and thought it was good, but found it a bit of a tweener, with more story to come.

Saga Volume 9 arrived - I hope it's good!

Our library was donated a copy of Pride of the Decent Man, which was published last year but I don't recall hearing of previously. It was a slim volume with a beautiful and poignant story.

Oh, and I also read House Party by Rachael Smith after picking it up at NYCC last week. Not a super deep read but it was interesting enough. The illustrations were lively.

Has anyone read the Morning Glories series? It is so crazy.

Just finished Volume 1 of Trish Trash: Rollergirl on Mars. It wasn't perfect by a long shot, but intriguing enough for me to want to read the next volume. Of course my library system had volume 1, but not number 2....

having zero luck with touchstones today, btw

>10 sweetiegherkin: I can't tell! I'm on volume 10, so you can see it's kept me wondering. A school that's a prison, and lots of time travel twisting and deception.

>12 brianjungwi: If you return to it and figure it out, please let me know!

>13 jnwelch: Wow, that's funny. It must be good if you've continued along that far.

I just read Good Night, Planet by Liniers, which is an adorable early reader graphic novel. Perfect if you have little ones in your life who you want to introduce to comics reading.

Took a reading break for the first half of the month, but now I've picked up Saga Volume 9, Descender Volume 6, and The Girl From the Other Side, Vol. 5.

I read volumes 3-5 of Over the Garden Wall. More adventures & misadventures in the Unknown. Really only works if you've watched the show though.

I liked Saga Vol. 9 a lot. What a shocker at the end.

I'm re-reading the terrific Britten and Brulightly by Hannah Berry. I just saw that she has a new one out that I haven't read yet, Livestock.
