Name that book! Historical Romance only!

Looking for a book I read about 10 years ago. It's a historical romance. The book came out between 2000 and 2010.

- Hero is an earl or duke or some sort of title.
- Heroine makes dresses for a lady or friend and no one knows it is her.
- Hero hires the dressmaker to make dresses for his fiancee or sister and has her go to his house
- She has a room on the second floor that the hero sneaks into at night
- the heroine makes friends with two ladies helping her with the dresses. One of which is a young lady who finds out she is pregnant later.
- There is a ball or something like that near the end where she runs out into the garden? I think.

I'm sorry if I can't give you more. I will add more if I can recall anything else.

Looking for a historical-here’s what I remember:
-possibly mail-order-bride
- hero needs a wife to take care of his many unruly, ill mannered children on ranch or frontier home
-hero thinks heroine too fragile/young/gently bred to
handle the job
-heroine feisty and capable but hero never recognizes it

Much like a Julie Garwood(The Wedding or The Bride) -Alpha hero always underestimating the heroine even while falling in love

Is it The Wicked Ways of a Duke by Laura Lee Guhrke?

I've looked and looked, opened dozens of books, thinking this is still on my tablet, no luck. What details I can remember are:

Regency period, I think the father, either a Duke or other high ranking nobleman arranged a marriage for his son, needing the girls dowry. The hero was living in either Greece or Italy, in a villa on the coast. Right after the marriage, he returns to his villa and continues collecting artwork. Eventually his father dies and he returns to England, intending to only stay long enough to sire an heir. The heroine was not aware of this plan. When she discovers it, she pours a pot of cold coffee on the painting of the villa (or the view from) and leaves him.

Please, please any help. This has been driving me crazy for two weeks!

So i've been searching for this book. I'm not sure when was this published. This was one of Aunt's books. I was not able to read the ending part because the book lacked pages. So here are the things I remember from that book:

Character names:
Chloris/cloris- unladylike, black hair and green eyes, can ride a horse, in love with her friend who impregnated another friend. Her mother died in a horseback accident.

Quentin-a squire who was once in love with chloris/cloris' mother who has now shown affection to chloris who is her friend also.

Georgina Davenport-Quentin's possible wife?

Estelle-chloris' mother

The plot implied that quentin is a suspect for estelle's death. Chloris married her friend who impregnated another friend who is also a smuggler.

Please help me find this book. It was set in an era where people wear dresses and has harvest party something.

I read this book when i was a teenager and it was a book my mom bought from the thrift shop so no later than 2005
i don't remember much about the heroine or the circumstances as to why they had to marry but i remember a lot about the hero.
this is the prologue i believe: so the hero was a spy or something and he was in France on a misssion i think he was sleeping with his informant and she found out he was a spy and trapped him to the bed and began to torture him- she thought he loved her and he told her that sleeping with her was like pissing in a pot. she was upset by that and so she picked up a poker from the fire place and intentionally scarred half of his face.
i think this info came later or in the prologue im not sure- he was rescued by his best friend/ good friend when they found out it was a trap and when the best friend got there the room smelled like burnt flesh
chp 1- in chapter one he had to marry this lady not sure why but when she met him she thought he was beautiful until he turned around fully and she saw the other half of his face and saw he was a (beast or monster not sure which word was used) he wore an eye-patch and he used a cane cause the crazy lady shattered his knees and foot i believe.
so now he moved her to his home, he had a young daughter (a child 5 years old maybe) that looked exactly (carbon copy or replica) like him. he had got the maid pregnant because he came home drunk one night and raped her. i think she died in child birth
he hated his mother because when he came back and she saw his face and body she screamed and ran away or fainted in shock and disgust, his daughter and him have a good relationship and he love the child and the child is not scared of him.
he comes to his wife room and ties her to the bed to have sex with her every time.
she came to love and care about the guy through details i cant remember. with his permission she tied him a a chair or the bed and started to kiss him she removed his eye patch and kissed his disfigured/ gross/ bulging looking eye and kissed his scars and kissed his lips where the poker and burnt his mouth- this was all to show that she loved him and wanted to make love to him normally and didn't wanna be tied up no more.
the crazy lady came back because she found out he was married or she finally found him and loved him and didnt wanna let go or something like that. she befriended the little girl and got a job in his household (he tries to stay away from the household and staff because of the incident before and his face) and he didn't know
i think she kidnapped both the child and the wife or just the child and then he had to go find and save them
i dont remember if she (crazy lady) ended up dying in the end or what but he got his wife and kid back.
i think his name was gabriel but that could be way wrong- the hero mom did refer to him as her angel. and the best friend told the wife about the torture and to give him a chance or something like that cause he rejected all attempts she had made to get close to him.
thank for your help guys in figuring this out- cant get it outta my head and its been raking my mind for a few years now
