Were there any ways in which the book could have been improved?

I can't think of any. The lack of ending re Kat's spying and Sebastian's mother's defection leave the way open to more story development in the future.

I'm good with it as is.

Now that I got the ending straight in my mind. I think everything was tied up nicely.

This could just be me but sometimes there were so many characters to keep track of that I did get a bit confused. Related to that, the names of the characters were switched back and forth between their names and their titles or their House. I couldn't always remember who went with which.
