Why do you think the Regent lied to Sebastian?

He's spoiled, doesn't want to be questioned, and wouldn't know the truth if it bit him on the behind. Plus, he wouldn't want anyone to know that he'd apparently been rebuffed previously by the Marchioness.

I agree with Brenda, the Regent just wants to squirm out of any nastiness asap.

I agree too with Brenda.

I agree with Brenda too although I thought Sebastian jumped to that conclusion pretty fast. At least, it wasn't clear to me that George was lying.

I loved the quote about George, ’Prinny might be a drunken, overindulged, self-coddling idiot, but he’s not violent.’

I liked what Sebastian said about George lying but not sure what he is lying about or what he is trying to cover up. He is certinaly trying to cover something up.

I think his lie was mostly for his pride because the Marchioness had turned him down repeatedly.

>9 bhabeck: That was one aspect but I wondered if there was something else too.
