Any initial thoughts what the lack of blood and the body being cold indicated?

I assume she was poisoned and moved to this location at which time the knife was stuck into the body

All pointed to her being killed elsewhere.

She wasn't stabbed until after she was dead...and for some time at that. Poison seems to have probably been the weapon of choice. I loved the stupid idea that she committed suicide. Can you imagine trying to place a knife on a surface and falling on it backwards?

It made me think she was dead before someone stuck the knife in her.

The lack of blood indicated for me at this point that she had been killed elsewhere, fancy carrying a body in the Brighton Pavillion. Quite an achievement! The body being cold told us she had been killed well before George entered the room.
