Apologies if this has already been discussed. Our school library is using LibraryThing very successfully, however there is one lending feature that we hope could be changed. In our school children are only allowed one book at a time which works the majority of the time. However some children forget and borrow another. Is it possible to introduce a limit so the catalogue would not issue a book until the previous one is returned? Thank you.

You're probably better off posting this in the TinyCat group https://www.librarything.com/groups/tinycat or Recommend Site Improvements https://www.librarything.com/groups/recommendsiteimprov

>1 CastleHillBrockworth: Unfortunately, neither LibraryThing nor TinyCat (if you're using TinyCat's lending) have a setting for checkout limits for patrons. Sorry for the trouble.

If you can clarify what you're using for lending (LibraryThing or TinyCat), I can make note of this as a requested feature (no promises that the request will be granted—we're a small team of developers for both LT and TC, and limited resources—but it helps us to gauge how common a need/request is, and take that into consideration for future development efforts).

Thank you kristilabrie, unfortunately our library can't afford to pay for TinyCat so we are using the basic Lending function. Just to be clear, yes I am asking if this can be added as a feature.

>5 CastleHillBrockworth: Understood, thanks! (Also sorry that you can't afford TinyCat right now.)
