* The Phantom Tree by Nicola Cornick (pub 8/18; multiple time periods novel -- in general I hate anything Tudor, but could not resist starting to read this immediately anyway)
* _The Trial and Execution of the Traitor George Washington_ by Charles Rosenbert (pub 6/18; alternate history/counterfactual fiction - what if he'd been captured, taken to England, and put on trial for treason)
* The Philosopher's Flight by Tom Miller (pub 2/18; sounds like more alternate history fiction, blurb mentions Lev Grossman and Deborah Harkness for comparison)

One purchase, one ARC:
* Eternal Life by Dara Horn (pub date 1/18; fantasy from an author whose books primarily focus on Judaism, which makes me not sure this one will hold my interest)
* No Other Duke Will Do by Grace Burrowes (historical romance; premise of a family in debt due to someone spending all their money on books . . . struck a chord with me)

Brought home an ARC of Chalk Man, a thriller by C.J. Tudor due to be published in January, because something about the plot reminded me of a Sherlock Holmes story I saw dramatized. I mostly leave the thrillers for three of my fellow booksellers to tussle over.
