What did you think to the ending of the book?

I thought the ending was exciting especially when Gerard was in danger and Tony had to come to his rescue. The only thing that bothered me about the ending was they never really said why the horse trailer plowed into the tent and if it really was a 4 year old that was responsible.

I liked it too and also thought it was exciting and suspenseful. I liked that Tony overcame his fear to rescue Gerard. I also wanted to know what caused the horse trailer accident and was surprised that this wasn't mentioned at the end.

It was exciting but I agree with >2 EadieB: & >3 gaylebutz:. It's like the horse trailer thing in the beginning was forgotten entirely. That was actually one of the reasons that I didn't give it 3.5 stars in the end.

I liked it. the fraud scam was solved and Tony seems to have moved on. I wish that both Kenneth Jr and Vernon had been brought to justice but I guess that as long as Vernon is cooperating, it works out.

A satisfactory ending IMO. I think the horse box accident in the beginning was just that (caused by a child) and was simply a way of bringing Gerard and Tony together.

I was a bit disgruntled that dad Charters hasn't learnt a salutary lesson about his son, and still sent him money.

I liked it and it brought my rating up another whole star. Though you're right, we never did get a clear explanation of accident in the beginning. >6 Sergeirocks: you're probably right, they assumed it was dealt with in the beginning by blaming it on the child.
