It seemed risky. They were assuming Paul Young would be with the police but they really didn't know if he would show up at some point.

Good heavens no. But when have these two done anything that was wise? I agree with >3 EadieB: that they found out a lot of information but they nearly got themselves killed.

no but they had good reason to think that Naylor wouldn't be there and since they were reluctant to bring in the police, it was the only option
