Why do you think Tony is so keen to be involved in the investigation?

I think he's having fun and feels connected to the everything. With him being in the wine business he may feel that he has a stake in bringing the thieves to justice...and it was at his party that those people died.

Good displacement activity for his grief. I think he is having fun as Carol said, and this is all happening around him. I think he is also intrigued by the drinks issue as he works in that trade.

I think he has gotten caught up in the investigation and is enjoying himself and it does help him take his mind off his grief.

I can only think that it takes his mind off the death of his wife.

it gives him something that interests him - he's already said that he extended the shop hours so that he didn't have to go home to the empty house. In addition, I think he's intrigued in spite of himself.

Agreed, it seems to have sparked something within him that'd been missing since his wife died. Plus, he has all this knowledge about the subject and he was there at the party where it all began.

I agree with you all, Tony has been sucked into the investigation because of his expertise in the wine industry; but his lack of a private life also means he has time to become involved.
