Hello Everyone,

I used to be quite an active member of LT a few years ago but as happens in life, things got super busy, new jobs, new house, interstate moves etc etc... I see that my last thread in Needlearts was back in 2011...oh my, I didnt realise it has been that long ago!

So I am going to try again and post about some crafty things I have been doing over the past few years and new stuff that I am working on.... I still attend quilt show/handmade markets with my handmade/embroidered/sewn/quilted goodies and I will post some pics of my stalls as well.... pics are always nice to see...

I have also collected lots of new and old books on quilting and embroidery over the years and I will try and write about those as well....

Alexandra

Oh, Alex, I'm glad you are back!! Life does get in the way sometimes, LOL. I am not nearly as active on LT as I was in it's early days.

Do post your creative projects! (I have always meant to post reviews on quilt books but I never seem to get to it).

Most of us have abandoned PB for good reason (I've even deleted my account there).

The best way to post photos is through your member galley or junk drawer that is on your profile page.
*Click on member galley in the upper right.
*You will then see two choices in the upper left: member gallery (which is public) and junk drawer (not public). Click on "junk drawer" and then again on "Add another picture."
*I usually upload a photo from my desktop (find the file and upload)
*Then right click on what you uploaded and click on copy image address
*Plug it in a line of code that is in your message. Same line of code for posting covers or other photos an your posts

img src="photo address" height="400" You will need a left and right carat on either end of this. Adjust height as desired.

I don't know how much storage space LT gives us in the junk drawer, so I go back and delete photos if it seems like too many are accumulating.

>5 avaland: for good reason
Just to elaborate on that: Photobucket changed their account structure and now you must have a paid account to post photos on other websites. Not only is the cost prohibitive for us casual posters, but they handled the change very poorly. One day everyone woke up to find their posted photos replaced with ugly icons that linked to the signup page for a paid service. There were people who used Photobucket for business (think eBay sellers) and it really hit them hard.

Thank you... I havent used my PB account for years and had no idea that was going on!! I have tried uploading to my member gallery and I can get them to upload but unfortuenly as the photos were taken on my iphone they are uploading upside down. No matter how I edit them to the right way and save them... when I upload them they are still upside down... I did a google search to see why that was happening and got a whole bunch of stuff that was a little beyond me technically.... obviously its the way up I hold my phone when I take the photo... ill keep trying and see what I can do.. its so annoying as I have loads of photos I wanted to show you all...

thanks lauralkeet, Ill keep trying.. I had no idea that PB was doing it but now realise why I am only getting and icon instead of the photo.

You can also upload the photos to Flickr and then use the Share feature to generate a link that you can post here inside img src tags here to show the photos. That works pretty well for me, and Flickr is free for a basic account with a lot of storage space.

>7 primlil: That happens to me, too, but not all the time. Seems to me, I transfer the photo from my iPhone to my MAC via airdrop (or some other way if you don't airdrop) so it ends up on my desktop. Then I move it to iPhoto and rotate it even if it looks perfectly fine (if it does, I will do a 360º rotation). Then I move the file back to my desktop so I can upload it to LT. I know I was frustrated with this for a while and the process is a pain.... I think my kids (well, not kids, they're in their 30s) have been using Google for their photos.
