Has anyone read this yet?

She must receive hundreds of suggestions as to what to publish next and had to put a stop to it. I, for one, sent one in. And poor Barbara Pym! Seems Nicola has quite a distaste for her novels.

Do you think it was a dig at Virago for publishing Pym's Prudence and Jane?

Interesting point, marise. Makes you wonder!

I suggested Margery Sharp, and received a nice reply from Nicola telling me that she doesn't much care for Margery Sharp. So, Barbara Pym (whom I also love) is in good company!

But what I'm really hoping is that Cranford and Ballet Shoes will appear on Masterpiece Theater here in the U.S.!

I suggested Annie Vivanti (Anglo/Italian writer) and she replied: "alas, alas, I am afraid she will not do!".
I think the woman should chill out!
