2017 ROOTS Challenge - 1327 Books to Read 146 Audiobooks to Hear

My goal is 25 books/audiobooks.

My titles will be chosen from unread books on the random books list generated when I log on to LibraryThing. I will tried to figure out how to add a ticker. My reviews will be on my site.

By the way, last year I had 1231 books to read. I have made a resolution to buy no books, music, or videos this year. Seriously.

Welcome back and good luck! I am impressed by your no-buying resolution! The best I can do is limit buying to certain specific library sales (and using gift cards).

Yes, good luck with the no buying - I'd really struggle with that, so I'm just going for buying less than I did in 2016! We'll see how that goes...!

I bought 4 too, but with an amazon giftcard we got for Christmas, so although they will count as ROOTs I'm counting them as freebies in my yearly tot-up of how much I spend on books, as it wasn't me who shelled out the money! The first one arrived this morning.

You're making good progress with your ROOTs!

Thank you. I am reading several classics that I've discovered read better at a chapter a day. I am compensating for my slow pace on these by reading a graphic novel, a horror novel, and a mystery novel on the weekend.

this might seem a little off topic but there's a great poster of The Yellow Dog I've had my eye on for ages. Must try to find it online!

You will like it if you like Simenon's other novels. I am becoming more fond of him the more I read.
