#1 A Fearsome Doubt by Charles Todd
My husband has read most of these and we own them, so they are an easy target to grab when I need something predictable but interesting. The interplay between Ian Rutledge and Hamish does not seem to get old.

>10 Helenoel: Is that a book by Terry Pratchett too? Your touchstone links to Tony Hillerman.

>11 connie53:- I read the Hillerman one this time- but Pratchett has one with a similar title- I own both- should re-read the Pratchett-
Hillerman is A Thief of Time, Pratchett just Thief of Time

ROOT # 4 audiobook of A Short History of Nearly Everything by Bill Bryson.
Entertaining version of lots of basic science and new developments in some.

# 5 - The Winds of Folly an overdue LTER-ARC

You can do it, Helen!

# 6 Unraveled Sleeve by Monica Ferris - totally fluffy mystery- fun, and Ferris at least seems to know what she is talking about with needlework- unlike some cozy mystery series where the author is clearly at sea in the cozy themed part.

# 9 My Brilliant Friend - i was not as much a fan as some seem to be. Maybe the whole series grows on folks, but I'm not in a rush to find out. I appreciate the good writing and construction, but found reading it a bit of a slog.

#11 Doc by Mary Doria Russell I've had this in the house for a couple of years- glad I finally got to it.
I've enjoyed everything I've read so far from Russell- in variety of genres.

Some progress!

#12 A Holiday Yarn: A Seaside Knitters Mystery picked up some time ago at a library sale- ok cozy mystery, but not much knitting. small book so it went on vacation with me.

#13 All the Light we cannot See Christmas gift 2015, so it counts as last year. It is as good as everyone was saying last year when it was still newish.

>25 Helenoel: I love the sound of that -- A Holiday Yarn... but, also glad to hear it's not amazing bc I don't need to add to my cozy mystery pile ;)

And All the Light We Cannot See -- I do keep hearing such good things. Maybe this winter I'll get to it... :)

And after a long break- #14 - The Fallen Man for the Navajo mystery project.. I picked this up at some book sale, but apparently never entered it in my LT library....
I won't make my goal, but have made some progress this year... Don't ask if more books came in than got read...

I do keep track of acquire date but I don't like to look at any stats about that LOL. I have a box from BookOutlet that I just received that I have not cataloged yet.... and errrr... more in the shopping carts of three online bookstores. And oh, I just found out that we have a new independent bookshop in my area, the first in many years that is not a big chain store. I have to go there too, right??
