I am always so sad to see them go.
:o(
I don't get any migrating hummingbirds on their way through, for some reason. When I lived in the Midwest I had hummers passing through all Fall. Once I had one on Thanksgiving!

I think they're at my house, clam. I even saw one light on a tree branch, which I have never seen them do before.

clam, at my in-laws new house near Indy last Saturday, there were so many females at the feeder that it sounded like a lightsaber fight was happening in the yard. I've never seen so many, and never knew how much they fight with each other!

They are VERY territorial!
I just had a female buzzing my flowers! I know she must be an out-of-towner because she ignored the feeders and was trying to get nectar from the Angel Wing Begonias.

>4 amancine: Last summer was the first time in over 50yrs of watching (for) them that I had seen any hummingbird land on a branch. It startled me because I thought something might be wrong with the bird!
