This is my first, and definitely not last, book to review. With that said, I am most glad that it was Richard Milton's Dead Secret. To use one of the quotes contained in this book; 'It's one of them books that draws you in,' he said. 'It looks just like an ordinary story to begin with and you can't put it down, but by the time you realise it's got you, it's too late. You can't get out and it gets weirder and weirder, playing all sorts of tricks with your mind, making you believe lots of weird shit and getting you so you don't know what's true and what's just made up. In the end you start to think everything you've ever been told is made up anyway.' I found myself unable to put the book down until I finished it! A very gripping story with loads of historical references inside leading the reader through centuries of mysteries. Definitely not the last of Mr. Milton's books for me to read!
