I would like to recommend the historical e-novel The Disciple Scroll, by Allan Rabinowitz, available on Amazon. The novel explores the life and anguish of the biblical prophet Jeremiah, through a scroll written by his scribe. It thrusts the reader into the dust, smells, turmoil and intrigue of ancient Jerusalem, and has received excellent reviews.
