Who of you have been / is going through a Kundalini awakening?

This is simply *THE* book for anyone going through an Spiritual Emergence.

It's Stanislav Grof's, The Stormy Search for the Self.

I feel you when you write that you had the feeling that you might be losing your mind. I felt the same way a few years ago when I decided to take on the entheogenic yoke once more. Almost immediately, all the unresolved mental/spiritual/physical issues I had left behind and thought that I had resolved came rushing back with an intensity that I was totally unprepared for. For weeks I was unmoored, teetering on the edge of tears and rage, never once feeling that I was grounded. It took some time to finally get a grip on things, or better yet, to allow things to be what they are without trying to impose some external value or definition upon it.

I no longer have that edgy feeling, and now that I have re-embarked upon my personal spiritual path, I have found that this experience is quite common among those who walk the path, maybe even necessary. The best term I've heard given to this transition from dilettante to neophyte is "The dark night of the soul." That pretty much sums it up. For me, it was a total collapse of nearly every institution I held dear and a burning away of the lies used to uphold these institutions.

It's a scary experience, but when you're done, you're left with a true tabula rasa that you can then begin to fill with experiential knowledge instead of half-understood iand wholly false ideas and concepts imposed upon you by circumstances of location.
