Does anyone know when production shifted from Sloves (FM owned) to RR Donnelly? In the mid 80's I recall some cheaper cloth bound and quarter bound books made by RR Donnely and shipped from Des Moines. I also have some the the "Signed First Editions" from the 90's and early 2000's to the end. These are made by Donnely too but all leather and some pretty famous editions. There were also some quarter bound books in the late 70's but these were still high quality.

Wikipedia isn't known for its accuracy, but this is what it says:

"The Franklin Library, produced public domain classic books from its founding in 1973 until closing in 2000. Its books were designed and bound by The Sloves Organization, Ltd., an affiliate." I'm skeptical of this reference, though, because its First Edition series consisted of books that were not in the public domain.
