Can anyone recommend some YA books where the main characters are from distinct cultures and as a result of their interactions learn something about each other and their different worlds?

Looking for Alibrandi is a classic Australian YA book with multicultural themes. Most of us study it at high school.

If fantasy works, I suggest the Circle of Magic series by Tamora Pierce (Sandry's Book, etc). There are four main characters from different cultures and classes.
