What did YOU buy today! - October 2013

I hit a friends of the library sale this week and came away with about 30 books for around $20. Included was an edition of Faust from the 1880s and three in a set from 1934 called Myths and Legends of Mankind. Although mine are the worse for wear, in good condition on the European market they are going for the equivalent of $100 each. Excellent illustrations, something I really miss in the books today.

I went to a lecture by golf writer James Dodson last night and came away with a book for my nephew's Christmas, American Triumvirate: Sam Snead, Byron Nelson, Ben Hogan, and the Modern Age of Golf. I don't even play golf, but he gave a great talk.
