I have been asked to remind everyone and probably especially the new members of this group to follow the two guidelines which are already stated in the group description.
Please note:
If you would like to promote or point out contests to the members of this group, please use the thread Contests & Giveaways and please do not open new threads for each new contest.
Need help finding a romance book title or author? Take a look at the thread Name that book or Name That Book cont. Part II .
As you can see, I have included the Name that book Part II as well and'll gladly do so for no. III, IV... when the need arises.
Creating new threads when you are looking for a book just 'clutters' the group up. Members will automatically look at threads which have new posts and will do so as well for the two Name that Book threads.
We have probably all been in the position of not remembering a titel or author of a book and a greatful when someone helped us out so if we are able to, we'll help you out with finding the book you are looking for. (Just on the side, thread titel like Help, Please Help! do not inspire much to upen up a thread to actually read it.
Use the Name that book thread and then the best way is to first state what kind of book you are looking for:
e.g.
Contemporary Romance
~1990's or read in the 1990's
Part of a series or Publisher series like Harlequin Presents...
...
and then give the description of the book you are looking for. Describing what the cover looks like might also help.
Thank you.
Have fun reading,
Julia
PS: If I forgot something please feel free to include it as well. Also please *bump* the thread up once in a while so it'll remain on the first page of the group.

Thank you, Julia! I've been ignoring the title search posts because they've become so overwhelming in number and so vague in particulars. I'm much more likely to actually read and respond to a help request if it's in a "Name That Book" thread.

I'm new, but I'm still bumping in hopes that people actually pay attention to this post. Judging from the numerous "Help me find this book" labeled-posts both before this, and after, most apparently don't.

Thanks, Laura and Julia! This must seem like a thankless task month after month but I appreciate your trying to get posters to follow these simple rules.

Thanks, Julia. I'm pretty new to the forum and I was wondering why so many people started their own discussions to find books rather than just post their comments to the Name That Book forum. I started to wonder if I was doing something wrong. Thanks for the info.
