Hi. Can anyone tell me how much it may cost on average for a year's membership?
Jeremy? said PayPal converts it on payment but it would be good to have an idea. I don't understand the.dollar rate to pound sterling.
Thanks.

The last time I used PayPal to buy something in dollars I'm pretty sure it cost me a little more than the then current exchange rate as given by the BBC. At this morning's BBC rates, a $10 yearly membership should cost £6-53 and a $25 life membership should cost £16-32, but allow for PayPal adding a few pence more.

#4 - We Brits are still proudly and defiantly clinging to our pounds and pence, miss_read - no euros here, yet. For myself, I'm still mourning shillings, sixpences, thruppences, half-crowns ...

Edited to strikethrough misguided paragraph.

I'm not that old >;-) - post decimal child, but bring back the Duke of Wellington on the fiver.

There is a sterling option on the dropdown boxes on that link, so it should have helped a little.

Oops! I only had a quick glance at it. Thanks, Helenliz and my apologies to miss_read.

You soon reach your free 200 don't you? It makesyou realise just how many books you own.

I'd forgotten about the free 200. I am heading there with books I have read, not books I own. I keep reducing the ones that are not by my favourite authors but I need to keep some so that I find other books by writers I admire. If I just used it for Stephen King it would soon mount up. I think I'll have to find another way of recording my reading. I don't need LT for books I own as there are so few of them. Sorry, LT I am not using you for the original purpose! I don't want to leave as I like the chat.

The 'Free 200' is a brilliant stratagem. Just the right number to get you hooked!
