Hi!
I'm teaching this year for the first time and I am looking for ideas for setting up my classroom library. Also, I would like to know how LT is used in the classroom. I just entered a few books and see that the topics addressed in the books are listed, which is helpful, but other than that how is LT used?
Thanks

Congratulations on becoming a teacher! I think it is the most difficult and most amazing job I've ever had.
I organize my classroom library with baskets. I group the books by genre, author, or difficulty level in each basket. Kids choose books by their covers so it's easier for them to flip through them that way.
I don't use LT in the classroom.
Good luck!!!

what grade do you have? I'm becoming a first year teacher this fall and would like to use in the classroom since I have nearly 400 books.

I don't use it for my classroom library. Too many books. It's hard enough just keeping them organized in real life.
Good luck!
