Liz and I and a couple of friends will be going to the Lambs Conduit street shop at the beginning of April. Bearing in mind I have over half of the 100 now - what should I be treating myself to?

I am not sure I can help with what you should read next, but I did have the pleasure of visiting Persephone Books today.
I was intrigued, having recently read about Persephone Books in a back issue of Slightly Foxed (actually the very first issue of Slightly Foxed if my memory serves me right). I had also been involved in a discussion on the Folio Society Devotees Group last month about Virginia Woolf, and we ended up referencing Persephone Books.
Anyway, I was passing Lamb Conduit Street on the way back to work from picking up some books from The Folio Society Members Room on Eagle Street, about 2 minutes away. What a lovely surprise! I ended up walking out with my first handful of Persephone Books:
Someone At A Distance - Dorothy Whipple
Greenery Street - Denis Mackail
The Making Of A Marchioness - Frances Hodgson Burnett
Mariana - Monica Dickens
Miss Buncle's Book - DE Stevenson
Miss Pettigrew Lives For A Day - Winifred Watson
I hope I have chosen well! The free catalogue with detailed descriptions certainly helped.

I have read and loved all of the above - so yes Conte_Mosca you certainly chosen well.

I've looked at your library and I don't think I've read any that you haven't (our Persephone collections are remarkably similar!), so I'm afraid I have no recommendations. But I do wish I could come up to London and meet you two! Some other time perhaps. :(

3: Wonderful choices!
Alas, the beginning of April is hideous for me (birthdays, ageing parent appointments, etc etc) - I will be with you in spirit...... :((

Oh, how I wish I could join you! The shop on Lamb's Conduit street has all the allure of a "wisteria and sunshine" ad to me at the moment. My best friend and I have been planning a trip to London since January, but we haven't been able to set a date yet. When we do, there is no question of my not popping into Persephone Books! Enjoy your April spree!
