I can't hyperlink images

I've triple-checked for errors, but no matter what I do, this keeps happening.  The preview works fine, but once it's posted, the href garble is visible.

The image isn't the issue.  When you click on the image, it should take you to the site where I first saw it.  Lately, that hasn't been working correctly.  When I post, it displays the href garble.

Aha - it's if the img code is the very first thing in the message. If there's anything in the message before the image link, it works okay. If the image URL is the first thing, it's spitting back the hyperlink.

Never would've thought of that.  Interesting.

Not having seen this bug report I started another on the same subject here. I don't actually understand the arcana of the group, so I will watch both threads and try to stay out of it otherwise.

Okay, that works. In that message it was the first thing. I think we solved this a while ago.

I just had to say, that illustration is making me go get tea now.

This bug has been marked as fixed. You're better off opening a new thread for your issue. It's also very old and a lot has changed since on LT
