True story: Young "supertramp" dies alone after eating potatoe seeds.

A very sad true story of a free spirit lone wanderer who died alone in the wilds of Canada not too long ago. He was a survival expert but ate wild potato seeds. Even to this day I have never seen a warning that they are deadly, but they are. Want the book, can't remember title, can anyone help please......
