I have just picked up an interesting item on "The Guardian " newspaper website. John Banville, the Man Booker prizewinning novelist, writing as his alter ego Benjamin Black is to write a novel featuring Raymond Chandler's Philip Marlowe. How this news will be received by Chandler fans is debatable I guess. I note that comment on Robert Parker's attempt is rather negative.
