Planning to go to Paris next year with my husband, would appreciate any recommendations of travel memoirs/guides about Paris. :)

Not guides at all, but two memoirs of Americans in Paris I enjoyed were Paris in Love by Eloisa James and The Piano Shop on the Left Bank by Thad Carhart.

My favorite Parisian memoir is The Last Time I Saw Paris by Elliot Paul.

The Food Lovers Guide to Paris is indispensable! Not merely restaurants, but markets, boulangeries, pâtisseries, charcuteries, kitchen and tableware shops, etc.
As to memoirs, I'd recommend Edmund White's Our Paris: Sketches from Memory, Paris was a Woman: Portraits from the Left Bank, by Andrea Weiss, and, of course, no book lover should go without Sylvia Beach's Shakespeare and Company.

Watch Woody Allen's Midnight in Paris before you go.

Zola The Belly of Paris for an historical foodie, for a humorous Bio An Englishman in Paris, and for fun, John Baxter's We'll Always Have Paris.
And do please take an evening dinner cruise along the Seine on Bateaux Mouches. http://www.bateaux-mouches.fr/en

("A collection of vignettes from twenty acclaimed filmmakers are woven together to form a portrait of love on the streets of Paris. Directors featured include the Coen Brothers, Gus Van Sant, Wes Craven, Walter Sallas, and Gurinder Chadha.")

I really enjoyed Metrostop Paris An Underground History of the City of Light by Gregor Dallas. It is a quirky history of aspects of Paris linked to specific Metro stations and areas.
I like the latest travel books by Frommer, and the beautiful Eyewitness travel guides by DK publishing. One had some very nice walking tours of specific areas.
Make sure that you have at least one French pastry ( bought from a patisserie) or buy a macaron from Laduree ( shops on both Right and Left banks)
Favourite galleries- Musee Marmottan ( wonderful Monet paintings -small museum), Orangerie, ( Monet waterlillies murals) Carnavalet- see the 19th century furniture and see about getting your tickets for all museums in advance( online is good)
Have a great time!
Be careful of pickpockets on the Right Bank. (near tourist sites and on the Metro.)

May I suggest Chronicles of Old Paris, it is part history and part a series of walking tours. Quite a few photos so you know what you should be looking at, and chock full of interesting historical nuggets. There are also books on New York , London and Rome in the same series if this style of book interests you.

Although I know I didn't understand all of the British humor, I enjoyed An Englishman in Paris by Michael Sadler.
