"My Brother Sam is Dead"

For college this is a book I chose to read as a school project. Little did I know it was a challenged book. The reasons listed were for profanity and violence. The book takes place during the American Revolution of course there will be violence. I would just like to say that historical fiction novels are designed to show adults and children alike what life in the time frame the book discusses was like. Therefore it is ridiculous to challenge a work such as "My Brother Sam is Dead". Overall this book was excellent and I would recommend it to anyone age 12 and up.
