I know there are big gaps between the books but there is a distinct lack of info being posted, for example what do people think about "The Scottish Prisoner". I have only just read The Fiery Cross but someone must be further forward than me. Come on outlander fans lets spread the word.

Well, I'm an Outlander fan, and I've read all of the books directly in the series, but I was very disappointed with the last book. I don't know whether she's become tired of writing this series, but I'm tired of being left with so many loose ends for years on end.

Yes i would have to agree with you on that point, maybe she should have written a different set of books or some stand-alone books between the outlanders to keep things fresh.

I don't think there's a rule saying that any books in a given series just have to get bigger and bigger! :-)

I've read all the Outlander books and started when they first came out. I will keep buying the books because I love the characters but I tend to agree - how can you keep writing a about the future of the characters when so much has been explored in previous books? However, the author seems to have an incredible ablity to pick up on small details in previous books and expand on them in newer books. I find it very interesting and entertaining.
