As I've mentioned before, I'm a big fan of the young adult books by Jude Watson. I recently swung by my local comics shop, which was having a 20% sale in honor of Star Wars' 30th Anniversary. I saw they had a lot of the Jedi Quest books, which is the second series starring Anakin and Obi-Wan. I didn't get all of them, though, and now I'm missing books 3, 4, and 7.

Any ideas on where I can get these out-of-print books at a reasonable price? (I'm picking up 4 from Amazon, actually, and I've been scouring eBay for the others.)

I've written to the SFBC to collect them into an anthology, but no word yet on any possibilities ....

I snagged books 1-6 off of book swapping sites like BookMooch, PaperBackSwap, FrugalReader, and WhatsOnMyBookshelf.

I swapped mine on bookmooch. That may be a good place to start. Also, sites that have forums/swaps for SW trading card games and minis (like Wizards of the Coast) often have people trading/selling their books as well.

message #5: $120 is not a reasonable price.

However, BookMooch is a good suggestion.

#6...

Did you look at the others? Book 4 is $1.80, and book 3 is $18.43.

I recently found Book #3 on Amazon for just under $10, which is the most reasonable I've seen it. I think there were a couple other copies for around $10. Books 3 & 7 have both gone out of print, which is why the prices are so screwy. I have all the rest, but I'm waiting for book #3 to come in the mail this week, so I can get to reading 3-6. I still haven't gotten my hands on book #7. :/

Though y'all like to know that I finally have every single Jedi Quest book, though it was mostly by accident. Someone backed out of a bid. ;)

Reading Outbound Flight right now, and then I'll return to the YA novels.

Lampbane: aaaargh!! I still can't find a decently priced Jedi Quest #7! *headdesk*

Oh, it was far from decently priced. I actually bid on it as a gag, figuring I wasn't going to get it, since someone always outbids me. But because the person who outbid me backed out, I won by default. But you know, ugh, since it didn't need to cost that much.

Ah, gotcha. I'm bidding on one now, but there's still a day left for others to bid, so *fingers crossed*.

What I've learned is to step back until the last hour or so, because you don't want the price to inflate too early.

Ok, now I'm going to beg: according to LibraryThing there are 13 copies of the Moment of Truth in the LT community. I'm assuming that the 13 owners of this book are going to be in this group. Would it be at all possible for one of you to mail me your copy so I can read it? I'll mail you postage stamps and something to mail it in, and mail it back, and I'll even pay rent for it if you want, but I desperately want to read this book, and the 3 books that come after it, which I already have. I can't afford to buy it right now, and it's not listed on bookmooch (which I'm not a member of anyway) so I don't really know what else to do.

And on an unrelated note, one of the 13 copies listed is listed under the wrong author.
