sexual politics in a postapocalyptic society

Hi,

I'm a newcomer here and I was intrigued, in the context of the Samantha Brick uproar by one thoughtful comment by a person. He/she said that there was a novel that explored the rebuilding of male/female relations in a new society, from scratch.

Any ideas about who this unknown author would be? Who would provide an expose about a new society in a positive vein where men and women are not at each other's throats?

I'm intrigued.
