Each holiday season since 1903, RR Donnelley has issued tales of travel, adventure, and exploration as a gift to employees and associates. Some of these volumes get out into general circulation where collectors snatch them up. This time of year, I turn to my small shelf of these books and consider adding the newest. I don't collect them all, but I do find them hard to resist.
The 2011 volume has just been announced : Narratives of the San Francisco Earthquake and Fire of 1906.
There is a group specific to collecting this series, but I wanted to bring more awareness to the series, and our small group as well:

If you're looking for a great gift for a fan of travel/ exploration writing (including yourself), track down a few of these attractive, small books. The oldest examples can fetch quite a lot, but more recent books are a bargain, when found.
