Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson is a good book. It does deal with some adult issues (rape) though if you are planning on sharing it with a younger person I suggest reading it first. Also, I am currently reading Prep by Curtis Sittenfield. It is a great book that definitely takes me back to high school and all the feelings of trying to fit in. I'm not sure if it is classified as YA because I did not buy it in the YA section but it is very fitting as one. It is a great book!
