SantaThingSantaThing Entry #406

LibraryThing member Colleen_L_McDonald

Recipient is not the account.

Gift is for: Munchkin

Book tastes

Munchkin is an 11 year old boy (6th grade) - loves all things dragons (we have all of the Wings of Fire series and own all of the How to Train Your Dragon movies/shows) and dinosaurs. Legos and Minecraft are pretty important around here, too. Good age appropriate graphic novels would also be appreciated.

Other notes

Nothing religious please - we take care of that at home. Not a huge fan of guns or first person shooter games.

Secret Santa

Colleen_L_McDonald's Secret Santa was XRayBlaster006!

kristilabrie: Checked. (Dic 8, 2023, 10:42am)
kristilabrie: Had to replace The Gameknight999 Box Set: Six Unofficial Minecrafter's Adventures! by Mark Cheverton - not available. Sorry! (Dic 8, 2023, 10:26am)
sar96: Little late to comment: However, I enjoyed the Book of Dragons by Cordelia Castel, book of wonderful short stories featuring dragons (Dic 2, 2023, 8:53pm)
DestDest: Jurassic Jeff: Space Invader, a graphic novel, would be a good one! It has a cast of lovable but clueless dino pals and a too-serious alien. Also, The Coldfire Curse by Jordan Quinn but this series reads a little younger though it has beautiful illustrations. (Nov 28, 2023, 8:27pm)
saroz: It's hard to know without being able to see the member's library, but Munchkin would probably enjoy Stella Caldwell's "The Magnificent Book of Dragons," which is a lovely, full-color "guidebook" to dragons around the world. Another thought is Oliver Butterworth's "The Enormous Egg," a classic mid-grade novel about a boy on a farm whose chicken lays a dinosaur egg - he hatches it, raises it as a (rapidly growing) pet, and celebrity ensues (with amusing consequences).
