Recensori in anteprimaPetulant Child Press

In 2010 Eric Beebe created Post Mortem Press. The original intent of PMP was to provide an outlet for undiscovered authors to get their foot in the door of the publishing world. Having a press publish one’s work adds a level of credibility that cannot be accomplished by self-publishing. In a short time a core group of authors formed an ad hoc family. This family made the press feel like home to many people. Over the course of the next several years the press grew beyond expectations, and beyond control. There were more authors and books than any one person could keep up with and sales were sliding as the marketplace exploded with similar small presses as well as an evolving view of self-publishing. After a stagnant period of about 18 months, a few bad decisions, some unforeseen circumstances, and a health scare, Eric shut-down Post Mortem Press in early 2020. Sometimes you just have to know when to close the doors. Jump ahead several months and the yearning for that sense of family led to the creation of Petulant Child Press. Having learned from the Post Mortem Press experience, Petulant Child is a small multi-genre press designed with transparency and open communication at its foundation. We have returned to the family model. We have no plans to open for submissions, only to work together to support and promote each other.
