I now have a personal book collection of over 1,000 books, including the ones my kids have, and between the university studying done by myself and my wife we have a number of psychology, teaching, engineering and theology texts. I collect Bibles, with a particular interest in unique editions, such as the Freemasons or Mormon KJV, or the Knox Bible.

I grew up in a country without radio or television, so I read everything I could get my hands on, including encyclopedias. This contributed to my lifelong preference for books over television and movies, and a growing sense of separation from an electronic media society that reads phrases of text designed for an audience with a short attention span.
