I adore my books. I like to think I have a good variety, enjoying particularly - even though I'm a white girl - my African American literature. It's a culture and struggle that has touched me and that I've longed to understand since I was a little girl.

I was the kid that snuck the flashlight from my dad's toolbox and read under her covers long after I was tucked in. Not much has changed except I no longer need the flashlight.
