What we have here is what I generally call the "permanent collection," that is, the books that travel with me where so ever I live. There are others, in boxes and bins, still stashed in the bedroom my mother keeps overflow fabric and houseguests in, but these are the ones I'll carry up three flights of stairs and across the country to keep.
