La mia biblioteca
eclectic; kept some books from my teen and young adult years, found a lot of great books in second hand stores in the 1970's and 1980's, and ended up with a great collection of out of print books for a small library. Now moving on to ebooks. Genres include ancient history, prehistory, alternative history, archaeology, mythology, politics, US conspiracy theories, 1950's, 1960's, genealogy and DNA deep background, Celtic, Pre-Columbian America, American History, Hudson Valley, and humor. In fiction like mysteries, British mysteries, thrillers, doomsday and dystopian books, and some horror.
You may have noticed that I am currently adding more ebooks than I can possibly read weekly, but hope to catch up during power blackouts or senior mobility issues. Plus really, who can turn down $1.99 mysteries or horror, or the great history books that go on sale...
Informazione su di me
Although I consider myself a happy and stable retired person, my recreational reading tastes reflect the life experience of someone who grew up with duck and cover school drills, polio scares, A-Bomb fears, The Cold War, Vietnam, the assassinations of JFK, MLK, and RFK, all before I left college. Oddly, I also have a great humor collection, including the complete Doonesbury, and Mad Magazines of the 1950's and 1960's. Love the advent of ebooks, as I now have room to purchase new books without regard to living space. So bring on those conspiracy theories, murder mysteries, and escapes to an ancient past.
