About half of my library is dedicated to history. I am always looking for good suggestions for historiographies, biographies and historical theory books. I also love literature and I am I hard pressed to find a good piece of literature that was written after the the 1960's. If you have any suggestions, please feel free to post them. Me? I'm just a high school government and history teacher with a book fetish. I drive my wife crazy with my books. I am a slow reader and only find time for about 12 books a year.

One of the reasons I like Thomas Jefferson, not because he was slave owner (which my wife won't let me forget about - as if I could), but because his personal library later became the Library of Congress.
