- My house is very small, and all bookshelves are very full. I generally buy books only in French (because they're scarce in my network libraries), and mostly want to keep them (in case my granddaughter continues with the language). I'm sorry, authors and booksellers! (But there are no indie bookstores in my suburban wasteland.)

- Designed and taught honors courses in world lit and British lit for many years. Now semi-retired (still tutoring, grandchild-care), with more reading time outside those areas. Also long-time reviewer for LIBRARY JOURNAL and SCHOOL LIBRARY JOURNAL: can't post those reviews here, though!
