Informazione su di me
I fell in love with books in the third grade. I can clearly remember watching the new girl in class looking down at the book on her lap whenever she could sneak the chance. She absolutely devoured books! I wanted to love books as much as she did so I spent months imitating her in class and taking home a pile of books from the bookmobile every week and feeling so smart as I stared at each page for a couple of minutes and then turned to the next page. I hadn't yet caught on to the concept of actually reading yet.
Well, all that "practice" must have helped because I have been hopelessly addicted ever since. Everyone, I mean everyone, encourages me to stop buying books and use that money for more "useful" things like clothes, curtains, and whatever else THEY deem worthy! They're just not thinking straight! All they do is look at my bookshelves and then assume that I must have purchased all those books last week! Sometimes I can laugh at their advice but at other times I just fume. Why is it ok for them to spend tons of money every month on clothes, shoes, jewelry, and other things but not ok for us book lovers to spend less (personal opinion) on books? We're expanding our minds, they're just hoarding!
