Naturally, musicology with a special focus on Telemann, and changes in performance of Baroque music are a big focus but it also covers other areas of history and literature: Samuel Johnson and his time, Shakespeare, modern Biblical criticism, Germany and its language, and crime fiction, especially that of the period of the British classic crime writers (1930s-1950s).

Retired music teacher and continuing musician (flute & piccolo), recently completed a Master of Music (Musicology) Sydney Conservatorium of Music (University of Sydney) with a thesis on the reception and performance of the music of Telemann in Australia since 1981.
