- Most of my readings are in the speculative fiction genre (sci-fi, fantasy and fantastique/horror) with all sub-genres being covered. That being said, I regularly explore other territories such as literary fiction, historical fiction or thrillers/crime fiction.
I try to target quality/innovative readings but have no problem reading mass-market stuff from time to time.
I became a "reader" around the age of 13 when I read The Hobbit and Robert Silverberg's Lord Valentine's Castle. Never stopped since then!
Most read authors over last 3 years: Fritz Leiber, Madame de La Fayette, Robin Hobb.
My favourite novels are:
1. The Tartar Steppe (Dino Buzzati)
2. Madame Bovary (Gustave Flaubert)
3. Fahrenheit 451 (Ray Bradbury)
4. The Stranger (Albert Camus)
5. God Emperor of Dune (Frank Herbert)
6. Altered Carbon (Richard Morgan)
7. A vos souhaits (Fabrice Colin)
8. The Hand of Oberon (Roger Zelazny)
9. Royal Assassin (Robin Hobb)
10. Only Forward (Michael Marshall Smith)
My favourite series are:
1. The Farseer Trilogy (Robin Hobb)
2. Dune (Frank Herbert)
3. The Lord of the Rings (J.R.R. Tolkien)
4. His Dark Materials (Philip Pullman)
5. Takeshi Kovacs novels (Richard Morgan)
6. Sprawl (William Gibson)
7. Hyperion Cantos (Dan Simmons)
8. Tales of the King's Blades (Dave Duncan)
9. The Empire Trilogy (Raymond E. Feist & Janny Wurts)
10. Chronicles of Amber (Roger Zelazny)

A vos souhaits (Fabrice Colin) - Informazione su di me
I like: fantasy series which are truly epic, science fiction when it's really dark, horror stories which are profoundly human and more than just "scary shit", philosophical/existentialist novels, classical literature when it's damn good, weird fiction, steampunk and crossover in general.
I don't like: lengthy and pointless fantasy books, literature written by nerds for nerds (e.g. hard-science, RPG novels, etc.), best sellers which are easily written, easily read, easily digested and easily forgotten.
