- I've kept this account for chess stuff, but actually I do have other interests, which I cover somewhere else. Somehow chess seems to belong alone as an obsession.

- Well, you can guess that I played chess seriously in the 70's and early 80's, and have been playing again in recent years (with a big gap in the middle for wife, work, kids and the usual stuff). Lots more options now for dabbling in chess, with the Internet, rapid tournaments, email chess, etc - but I'm not likely to go back to serious, classical chess.
Happy to hear from others who are infected with the chess virus. There's only one escape from it!
