I'm a retired Federal employee who worked in and with computers for all of my career. I spent 8 years at WPAFB working for the US Air Force Logistics Command helping design and replace their global systems; 8 years at the Pentagon managing computer systems, helping end-users, then running the DoD computer standards program; and 20 years at the US Census Bureau's Statistical Reasearch Division working on statistical matching, adjustment, and data accessibility. At the end I helped with the development and government-wide implementation of the Federal data access standards (508) for people with disabilities.
