La mia biblioteca
Moved from a big house in Maryland to a smaller house in Florida so I had to cull the herd. I kept favorite books on transportation (trolleys, buses and trains), the Maryland area, the Pacific Northwest, mysteries and some classics. I donated lots of fiction, cookbooks and gardening books. The kiddie lit collection went to my granddaughter and is noted as the MDG Collection.

I bought a Kindle and now most of my new purchases are in that format. Not only is it convenient for travel, but its wireless feature enables instant gratification on new books.
Informazione su di me
When I retired my friends and coworkers asked me what I would do to keep busy. My reply: "I have a thousand books at home, most of which I've only read once, if that, and my local library adds new adult fiction and non-fiction titles at the rate of 200-300 each month. I won't have enough time to read everything I want to read."

I was right. I can't hope to keep up with the new stuff coming out, revisit old favorites, catalog my personal library and volunteer for activities that interest me. I wonder how I had time to do my job for all those years.
